Guess Who's Back? Back Again!!

Hellooooooo Blog Followers!!!

It's been a while since I've been on blogger, hasn't it? Sorry about that! Life got hectic, and, admittedly, the best of me. I had to take a bit of a break from surfing the web to combat it, but, that's over with!

I'm back and ready to update you all on my creative side!

Writing wise...well, I have done a few things.

I've re-worked  the character analysis for most of the main characters in OB&H, as well as developed their personalities a bit more.

Watching anime and reading manga have really helped in this area, as I can see what makes a character act a certain way and what can push someone over the edge.

I joined Holly Lisle's Writing Short Stories Program (though I haven't been able to start it because of life) and saw how creative short stories really can be.

I wrote a few drabbles (which, I am not able to find at the moment) able personal things.

Lately, however, I've mostly been drawing.

It all started out when I drew this picture

based on this screenshot

I think I was kinda upset that day and needed to cool off by doing something where I could control the outcome, so I drew Natsu Dragneel from Fairy Tail. If you're wondering, these drawings were done with sharpie, and, using a screenshot as reference.

After that first drawing, I decided to keep drawing

based on screenshots.

Last week, I, for some reason, kept drawing Natsu's eyes, and, somehow, ended up drawing this, without using reference!

Akito Hayama! It came out pretty well, I think! Just needs to be fixed up a bit. Actually, my friend, JiffyFrose, asked me to draw Akito for her a while ago, so this drawing is for her. I'll post the finished product here and on my devianart when it's totally done.

After that, I drew Natsu's eyes again and managed to draw Natsu himself. The hair, however, was made using a reference, but, the scarf, face and shading were purely my doing.

These two drawings are actually the same one. The top one is drawn in pencil, with the eyes colored in. In the second one, I used sharpie to darken the lines a bit more, and add the trademark pink hair on his head.

I'm planning on drawing more, particularly in this style. I hope that by the end of summer, I'll be able to draw Natsu completely from memory. =D

I'm also gonna start work on a story based on "Bohemian Rhapsody", write more about OH&H, get back into KLIYH, draw more, and all around have a creative summer!

A summer full of projects!

Can't wait to see the turnout!!

PS I'm laughing how I'm inspired to do stuff in the summer, and part of that inspiration comes from Natsu...you know, "summer" in japanese. ;D

Sorry for the Lateness!! But Hey! Here's a Belated Update! =D

Hey all wonderful people who read my journals and still remember I'm a writer!

Just wanted to, first of all, thank any and everyone who has stuck by my very belated posts and writings as of late. Life keeps getting more and more hectic, meaning it takes me away from my usual writing mentality and has me in real life.

I'm in the third quarter of college right now, and three weeks in, things have (finally) chilled out. However, I cannot guarantee a complete comeback yet. There are still many things to do and there's so little time to do it all!!!

But, I don't want to give up on writing yet. The reason being that I love it. And, as much as I try to pull away from "Of Blood and Honor", the more and more I see the number 3 in my everyday life.

I took a bit of a hiatus because, in all honesty, I needed one. I needed to get away from writing and face the world. I needed to take away one responsibility I know I'd come back to. I needed space from the internet, at least from writing on it as I am now.

That's why I've been "on hiatus". I've become quiet the busy person. I'm working 9 hours a week, have ~15 hours of class a week, and am still in charge of my club. Plus, I've been trying to spend more time with my friends who are in this college town with me...a lot of stuff, really.

You can see why writing the blog has become so difficult.

I'm trying to set time apart to write again, because I truly do miss it. It feels like my life isn't complete right now, since these words cannot find their way to the outside world.

Besides that, I've been having more ideas about characterization for some characters, and some great books to help me with some of these characters, thanks to Lyco!

There's quite a big mess of things left unfinished. Namely the soldier story. Which, I hope to more fully finish later on. And "Of Blood and Honor. And KLIYH.

Yeah...a lot to do, but I'll try to get it done soon!

Thanks for the patience everyone! Really. You don't know how much I appreciate it!

Belated on More than One Occasion this Week :/

Well, it seems I've been full of fail this past week.

Not only did I not get a chance to enter the fanfiction contest on the "Hey Arnold Jungle Movie Group" on Facebook, I also didn't have enough time to finish my Valentine's day story by Valentine's Day.

I finished it and posted it last night. It's a new story, called "Stories from the Winds of Hillwood". Basically, unlike KLIYH, this story is not going to be about the same thing chapter to chapter. Every chapter is supposed to focus on a new romantic pairing, the first chapter focusing on the GeraldxPhoebe ship. The first chapter (even though it isn't shown on FF.net) is called "Walking in a Winter Wonderland". If you haven't done so, and are curious, go ahead and read and review :)

I've also received my stuff back from Lyco (the OB&H excerpt, as well as the Soldier Story) and found out, via her blog, that she is debating showing it to her mother. When I found that out, I was shocked.

I mean, I know she loves the story a lot and told me that she found it moving, but I didn't think she had been debating showing it to her mom! When I read that, it gave me more confidence in that story. Like it was worthy of showing people who don't already read my work and that's just a huge deal for me. Whether or not she does show it to her mom, the fact that she thought about it means a lot to me.

So I've got my work cut out for me. Hopefully, I can stop procrastinating so much and just finish everything I've been given to edit soon.

We'll see!

On Time for This!!!!!! But...

Hey everyone!!!
So luckily I am keeping my New Year's Resolutions of updating this blog weekly on Friday! Yay!

Unfortunately, I am unable to finish writing for the Valentine's Day contest D:

I wasn't able to finish anything because of the hours of Organic Chemistry studying for the test. However, I finally have a weekend free and am going to work on a semi-secret project that I will post on Valentine's Day :D

Wait and see!
(Hint: It's not really KLIYH related ;D)

Who knows? I might do an extra blog post later!

Otherwise, no additional thoughts!

Until then!

Delayed Blog Post but Writing Writing Writing!!!

Well, you can't win every resolution in the beginning, right?

Last time on DA1326's blog post, I talked about my resolutions for this year, when it comes to writing. I sadly couldn't finish my resolution for writing my blog post on time, but, I have been working on my other resolutions.

Last week, I finished another draft of the Soldier Story I mentioned a while ago. It's now waiting for Lyco to perform some magic on it. Plus, I've been working on, and finished another OB&H Drabble today. It's about fire and how poetic it seems to be for a certain character of mine ;D

I've also been working on KLIYH, but with an upcoming Organic Chem midterm, I haven't had too much time to focus on it. However, it just needs a little more until it's ready for editing. Just one-two pages more :D

I think those are all the updates I have for you all! Again, sorry for the delayed post!

Getting My New's Year's Resolutions Done...Near the End of January

So, after having a bit of a rough start, I've decided I will try to start my resolutions. Now, at the very last bits of January.

Anyway, here's what my resolutions are:

  1. Get noticeable progress in KLIYH and OB&H (at least 7 chapters written for each. So 14 chapters in total)
  2. Finish at least "Little Pink Book" and Start on "Little Jungle Book".
  3. Finish 10 previously started Hey Arnold oneshots (songfics, drabbles, whatever. I have at least 20 in a USB, not counting ideas I have scattered around other notebooks)
  4. draw more. Possibly even do a comic.
  5. Get back into consistent, disciplined writing (including updating blog posts weekly, and the above)
  6. Finish July Challenges
  7. Participate in any Hey Arnold contests, starting with the Valentine's Day Contest. (Due Feb 8th)
  8. Finish the Gauken Alice Songfics I have mostly completely written (just remembered those Songfics, outside of the HA! Songfics.)
I feel like OB&H's plot and story is finally coming back to me. I'm not really sure how/why, but I won't complain. Lady Knight is stirring and I'm eagerly waiting for her words.

As for KLIYH, I found a draft in my USB so I'm hoping to finish that soon.

WISH ME LUCK!!!!!

Finally Wrote Something!!

Last time on this blog, I talked about how I was having trouble writing something and how I really wanted to get some kind of writing done this Winter Break.

The good news is I finally wrote something!

However, it wasn't something I was expecting. I was aiming to write either KLIYH or OB&H, but, instead, I wrote a story about Ethan, Ace, and Walter, three brothers who are forced off the land of their parents. Now, I don't know much about these characters, and don't necessarily know what the plot of their story is.

I know it's not very polished and that the description is in need of serious editing, but, hey, at least I finally WROTE something. I'm hoping to keep the writing up and hopefully have more things to share during my next blog entry.

Anyway, that's it for this entry! I wish everyone a Happy New Year! 2012 was a good year to me, writing wise, as Lyco pointed out. But I have a gut feeling that 2013 has potential to become the best year of my life! >:D

Until Next Week!

Love,

About Me

My photo
Well, I'm not sure what to say. I'm a writer, and generally am creative. Sometimes, I can say something really wise, but most of the time, I'll say something not-so-wise. I have this somewhat random personality, but can be pretty interesting, or at least I've been told.
