It's been a while since I've been on blogger, hasn't it? Sorry about that! Life got hectic, and, admittedly, the best of me. I had to take a bit of a break from surfing the web to combat it, but, that's over with!
I'm back and ready to update you all on my creative side!
Writing wise...well, I have done a few things.
I've re-worked the character analysis for most of the main characters in OB&H, as well as developed their personalities a bit more.
Watching anime and reading manga have really helped in this area, as I can see what makes a character act a certain way and what can push someone over the edge.
I joined Holly Lisle's Writing Short Stories Program (though I haven't been able to start it because of life) and saw how creative short stories really can be.
I wrote a few drabbles (which, I am not able to find at the moment) able personal things.
Lately, however, I've mostly been drawing.
It all started out when I drew this picture
based on this screenshot
I think I was kinda upset that day and needed to cool off by doing something where I could control the outcome, so I drew Natsu Dragneel from Fairy Tail. If you're wondering, these drawings were done with sharpie, and, using a screenshot as reference.
After that first drawing, I decided to keep drawing
based on screenshots.
Last week, I, for some reason, kept drawing Natsu's eyes, and, somehow, ended up drawing this, without using reference!
Akito Hayama! It came out pretty well, I think! Just needs to be fixed up a bit. Actually, my friend, JiffyFrose, asked me to draw Akito for her a while ago, so this drawing is for her. I'll post the finished product here and on my devianart when it's totally done.
After that, I drew Natsu's eyes again and managed to draw Natsu himself. The hair, however, was made using a reference, but, the scarf, face and shading were purely my doing.
These two drawings are actually the same one. The top one is drawn in pencil, with the eyes colored in. In the second one, I used sharpie to darken the lines a bit more, and add the trademark pink hair on his head.
I'm planning on drawing more, particularly in this style. I hope that by the end of summer, I'll be able to draw Natsu completely from memory. =D
I'm also gonna start work on a story based on "Bohemian Rhapsody", write more about OH&H, get back into KLIYH, draw more, and all around have a creative summer!
A summer full of projects!
Can't wait to see the turnout!!

PS I'm laughing how I'm inspired to do stuff in the summer, and part of that inspiration comes from Natsu...you know, "summer" in japanese. ;D
